When I grow up I want to be really, really busy.  I want an onslaught of commitments and I never want any free time for myself.  Forget the sunshine, sandbox and playtime, I want a life!

That's not what most of us told our parents we wanted when we grew up.  But somehow that's exactly what we ended up with. Our lives move at lightning speed.  The "no" that easily rolled off our tongues as precocious two year-olds, now comes with feelings of guilt.  We're just too busy to develop relationships or feelings of connectivity.  Most of us are more connected to our cell phones than we are to ourselves, our neighbors, or the world around us.  We have to wonder what we're exchanging our lives for.
