Beans and Bacon Catering

Steed catered our wedding and every guest there said it was the best barbeque they had ever had, plus his Cowboy Poetry added a true Cowboy flavor to the evening!

Beans n Bacon Cowboy Caterin' takes folks back to a time when horses were the only means of transportation and meals were cooked on an open campfire. Since 1982 Steed Henderson of Round Top, Texas has been servin' up his Cowboy Country cookin' to folks all around the state. Steed started his chuck wagon business in Round Top Texas, behind what used to be the ol' Birkelbach Cafe, and now is the Royer's Cafe. I put a real old wagon in behind the cafe converted it into a Chuck wagon and sold BBQ and all what goes with 'er on weekends. One day a local ranch ask if I would mobilize my wagon and feed some cow hands and city folk on there ranch, Yep! And the rest is history Henderson says.

Henderson travels all over Texas, from Zapata, feedin' chuck to some cowhands on a round up, and all the way to Texarkana servin' up BBQ and cowboy beans (that wont talk behind your back) to a Church organization!

Steed also loves to entertain, ( put me on first boys I got a weak act ) he says as the crowd grows around him to listen to his poetry and humorous stories . Steed has acted in a number of movies , most of them Westerns of course and still loves to act even when there ain't no camera around.

Heck! They put me in front of a camera, give me some lines and say, act like a Cowboy. The way I figure it, if you're a Cowboy and they want ya ta act like a Cowboy, both of the those are pretty close together, and why not take the mans wages. Yep!

Steed all so teams up with Ken Brothers a Four time United States Champion Yodeler and country singer, to entertain folks through poetry, stories and humor and a lot of singing and yodeling.
